Summer Show August 18-20, 2023

Hosted by The Antique Tractor Club in Lancaster, OH

Our Summer Show in Lancaster, Ohio was a great one.  The weather was ideal all weekend.  This show featured Oliver, Cockshutt and Minneapolis Moline.  Three feature tents and guess which one had all the people in it.  Of course, our tent was full of merchandise and people; members, friends, and guests.  As you will see in the pictures, Matt Davis went up the Mount Pleasant sandstone bluff in Rising Park across the street from the fairgrounds and took some amazing pictures of our Tractor display.  We had approx. 56 tractors on display.  When it was tractor parade time Saturday afternoon, we cleaned up the tent and lined up our chairs to watch our guy’s “parading” the fairgrounds.  Later we went to the Rickett’s Hall building where we had a great dinner.  Dinner was a Plan B situation with our original plans failing just before the show.  Larry sent me for pork which he smoked, and we had pulled pork.  Jan Yaple was having none of this short plan and jumped into action providing potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, cookies and cupcakes and fruit.  Here’s a HUGE Thank You to Jan and family.  Everything turned out great.  Later Saturday it was announced that we had 2 members win awards.  Doug Mitchell for traveling the farthest with his Oliver tractor and Scott Mitchell for traveling the farthest with his Cockshutt tractor.  They received Slow Moving Vehicle Signs made into plaques with a clock in them.  This was a great show on a wonderful fairground with events happening all weekend, good food and vendors.  Thanks to everyone who showed their tractors, came and visited and spend the weekend.  Thanks,  Tonia
