Power Of The Past – Greenville – July 10-13

The Power Of The Past was our Club Summer Show.  As always, the Darke County Fairgrounds is a spectacular place.  These grounds have been there for 169 fairs and the trees show it.  This show is one of the largest we have been to, especially in recent years.  There were 73 Olivers displayed including an 18-36 Hart Parr and a stationary engine brought in by Richard Kimble of West Liberty.  Rachelle Ballinger from Liberty, IN drove her 1850 40 miles to the show.  We had members from all corners of the state and of course our Michigan members were there.

We had a great time with many people in the tent visiting and telling stories.  Our tables stayed busy all weekend and our new merchandise is selling well.  There were craft activities for the ladies and many of them made crafts on Friday and Saturday.  The craft and flea market areas were full of lots of goodies to see.  We ended Saturday with a meal of fried chicken and baked ham, salads and plenty of desserts.

There is a lot of excitement for the growing of our club to include Cockshutt, Minneapolis Moline and White collectors. We gained 13 new members and most of them are part of our expansion.
