BOC Banquet November 8, 2025

It was a great day! We had a wonderful meal at the Der Dutchman followed by a meeting that was the best we have ever had. We had 122 people attend with 7 of them becoming first time attendees. Our veterans were recognized, and their dinner was paid for by the club. Larry conducted the business meeting. He reviewed our events of the year, 7 events in all. This is the most we have attended in a year, and it definitely kept us busy. The picnic at Farming Through The Decades Museum was a great way to start our year and we have hopes of doing it again. We then started off our busy schedule over the 4th of July weekend at the Ashtabula Show followed by The Power of the Past Show in Greenville. A couple of weeks later we were in Mt. Gilead and then Dover and finished at the Farm Science Review. We heard from Chet Linebaugh from the Greenville show; he was happy with our display and has invited us the attend in 2027 when they are featuring Cockshutt.

The meeting had a lot of discussion concerning our shows for 2026 and which ones we will attend. We heard from Melvin Wengerd for our Club show in Millersburg September 24-26, 2026. The new Club Logo was discussed, voted on and approved. We again played a game of Guess that Member which was pictures of some of our members when they were a child. We still did not do so good at guessing them until they revealed themselves. We will see how we do next year!

The Spring picnic is April 18, 2026, at David Miller’s Farm. The silent auction had great gifts and always helps to offset our costs for the day. Welcome to our newest Board Member – Chet Linebaugh.

Our Member Of The Year award went to Mark and Julia Smith. Our Lifetime Achievement award went to Charles Copeland. Congratulations to all!
